The Ameenian mezzo-soprano, Mariam Aloyan, began training her voice at the Folk Instrument Music School when she was just 6 years old. From 2008 to 2012 she studied at the conservatory “A. Babajanyan”; from 2012 to 2018 at the State University Music School Komitas in Yerevan. She attended master-classes with, among others, Gianpiero Ruggeri, Diane Zola, Barbara Frittoli, John Fischer and Ulrike Sonntag. In 2016 she won the 1st prize at the 8th International Competition “Renaissance” in Gyumri/Armenia, in 2017 the Grand Prize at the 2nd International Competition for Young Singers “Nodar Andguladze” in Georgia and in 2018 the 1st Prize at the 10th International Competition “Renaissance” in Gyumri/Armenia. Since April 2019 she has been studying master opera in Stuttgart with Professor Ulrike Sonntag. Here she attended master-classes with Margreet Honig, Vasily Barkhatov, Doris Soffel and Camilla Nylund. She is a scholarship holder of the Oskar und Vera-Ritter Stiftung and the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes Karlsruhe.
Mariam Aloyan has participated in numerous solo performances throughout Armenia and Georgia. In operas she sang Giovanna in Rigoletto with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra in Yerevan (November 2016), Third Angel in the opera Grigor Lusavoritsch, Mother Anoush in 7 performances in different cities in Armenia of the production of the opera Anoush by A.Tigranyan. |
