The Mexican tenor, Brayan Ávila Martínez, began in 2014, at the age of 23, his formal singing studies at the Universidad de Chile in Sandiago. He then studied "Higher Musical Interpretation Lyrical Singing Mention" at the same institute. In January 2018, he won 3rd Prize at the IV Festival Internacional de Ópera “Laguna Mágica” in Chile.
Brayan Ávila began his solo career in 2013 with the work Cantata BWV 147 by J.S. Bach with Orquesta Filarmonica del Teatro Municipal de Temuco, Chile conducted by Felipe Hidalgo. In July 2018, he performed several more J.S. Bach's cantatas with Ensamble Concerto Vocale & Cuarteto Surkos conducted by Víctor Alarcón in the first two concerts of Bach Santiago Cantata Cycle. At the Ópera Nacional de Chile in Santiago he performed R. Staruss' Der Rosenkavalier (June 2019), Lord Arthuro Bucklau in Donizetti's Lucia de Lammermoor conducted by Paolo Bortolameolli (March 2021), W.A. Mozart's Requiem conducted by Henrik Vestmann (June 2021). In April 2021 he participated in La Scala Academy of Lyric Opera. |
