The American tenor, Kartik Ayysola, obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, studying with Joseph Bau (2010-2014); and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from at Boston University studying with Jerrold Pope (2014-2016; also studied Opera). He is currently studying voice with Bradley Williams.
Kartik Ayysola haas been employed as Library Assistant at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (May 2013-May 2014); Bass Section Leader at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (November 2013-June 2014); Chorister at The Parish of All Saints - Ashmont in Boston, Massachusetts (November 2014-May 2015); Tenor Section Leader at The Church of St. Paul in Cambridge, Massachusetts (since September 2015). Since 2016 he is active as a freelance opera tenor singer.
Kartik Ayysola has sung the title role of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld with Longwood Opera, the title role of Le Comte Ory (cover), Brighella in Ariadne auf Naxos with Lowell House Opera, Alfred in Die Fledermaus with Opera 51, and Oronte (cover) in George Frideric Handel's Alcina with Opera Del West. He has also been seen as Borsa in Rigoletto, Don Basilio and Don Curzio in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, as well as Monostatos in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. He has also performed as the tenor soloist in Oratorio de Noël by Camille Saint-Saëns, singing with the Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra and Mr. Angel in The Impresario with the Carlisle Chamber Orchestra. He made his debut with Concord Players as Fakir in The Secret Garden in Spring 2019. He currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts. |
