The American soprano, Charlotte Bloecher, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bloecher. She studied voice under Cesare Sodero in New York. She was a successful classical soprano who sang many cantatas with the Cantata Singers in New York under the direction of Arthur Mendel. She won the Concert Artists Guild award in 1952, and the Marian Anderson Scholarship. She married Marcus Anderson in 1953 in Manhattan, New York City. They had a son Eric Victor (b May 9, 1957). |
