The Belgian (?) tenor, Gabriele Bonfanti, graduated with diploma from IMEP Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie in Paris in 2018. He obtained his second Master of Music degree from the Amsterdam Conservatory with Don Marrazzo (2019-2020).
Gabriele Bonfanti made his La Monnaie debut with Steve Reich's Three Tales. At the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Belgium, he played the roles of Monostatos in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (version for young audiences) conducted by Ayrton Desimpelaere (March 2017); Rodriguez in Massenet's Don Quichotte (adaptation) conducted by Ayrton Desimpelaere (March 2019); Cacambo in Leonard Bernstein's Candide conducted by Patrick Leterme (November 2019). In March 2019, he joined the Choeur de Chambre de Namur with which he sang J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232) in Lausanne, under the direction of Leonardo García-Alarcón. He was also soloist in L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the ABG Orchestra in Amsterdam in October 2018. |
