The German soprano, Marlies Buchmann, completed the first part of hers singing studies with Professor Kendy at the Musikhochschule Detmold. Starting from 1988 she studied at the Musikhochschule Köln with Professor Bautz. She continued her studies with Anne Lafeber. In 1993 she completed her artistic maturity examination "with honour". She participated in master-classes with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Agnes Giebel, and was scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Stiftung.
Marlies Buchmann has participated in various opera productions as well as many concerts and Lieder recitals. In 1995 she received her concert exam and since then is lecturer for singing and voice developing at the Katholischen Hochschule für Kirchenmusik St.-Gregorius in Aachen. Since summer 2000 she is voice trainer of the Aachener Domsingknaben. |
