The American tenor and choral conductor, Austin Cody, graduated from Kenyon College in 2018 with a major in Music and a minor in Physics, where he directed the ensemble Vox Collis and sang in multiple choirs. He obrtained his Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he studied with Andrew Megill and Andrea Solya and assistant directs the Men’s Glee Club.
Austin Cody has sung with many choirs in the Itacha area and has worked with many groups including the Cornell University Chamber Singers, the Keystone State Boychoir, and The New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Choral Studies. He joined the UU Church of Urbana-Champaign community as choir director for Fall 2019. Currently he is tenor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New York City, singing tenor at Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity Cantata Series.
Aside from music-making Austin Cody enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and reading. |
