The Italian soprano, Carlotta Colombo, obtained a university degree (Laurea cum laude) in Philosophy at Università degli Studi di Milano, with a thesis on feelings in music. After that, she graduated in Opera Singing at Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi in Como. She studied singing with Alessandra Ruffini. She attended master-class on Baroque music with Emma Kirkby, Roberto Balconi, Claudio Cavina, Paolo Beschi, Gemma Bertagnolli, Antonio Eros Negri and Mirko Guadagnini.
Carlotta Colombo worked with the symphonic choir LaVerdi, where she sang in Teatro Alla Scala in Milan. She also sang in some important festivals such as XXIII giornate FAI di Primavera (2015), Piedicavallo Festival (2015, 2017), Il mese della musica Festival (2015), Sastamala Gregoriana Festival in Finland (2016) where she sang with the great soprano Evelyn Tubb, A due voci Festival (2016, 2017) and Bologna Festival (2017). She is working with important ensembles such as La Venexiana (Director: Claudio Cavina), Fantazyas, a vocal ensemble conducted by Roberto Balconi, Cæcilia Consort conducted by Antonio Eros Negri and the Orchestra Nazionale Barocca dei Conservatori Italiani, a vocal ensemble conducted by Alessandro Quarta. She has also sung in some important theatres such as Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Bibiena in Mantua, Teatro Condominio in Gallarate, Teatro Belloni in Barlassina and Teatro Dal Verme in Milan.
Carlotta Colombo recorded for the labels Preludio (project Vokalia) and Halidon. Se had her opera debut with L’Orfeo by C. Monteverdi (Musica, Ninfa, Proserpina), Les Indes Galantes by J.P. Rameau (Hebé, L’Amour, Emilie, Phani, Zaïre and Zima), Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart (Papagena) and Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini (Berta). |
