The Austrilan soprano ans singing teacher, Catriona DeVere, studied at the Australian National University, where she obtained her Master of Music degree in Voice in 2005.
Catriona DeVere performed as a soprano soloist in Canberra Area from 2004 to 2007. Operatic roles including Angelica in Suor Angelica, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte; Oratorio including Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, Mozart's Requiem, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Mozart's C Minor Mass, Johannes Brahms' Requiem, Dvorak's Mass in D, Herbert Howells' Requiem, Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria; Recitals including Richard Strauss' Four last songs and Women on the Edge. Since 1996 she works as a self-employed soprano soloist in Melbourne Area (including at Melbourne City Opera). Operatic roles including Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Magda in La Rondine, Maddelena in Andrea Chenier, Tatyana in Eugene Onegin; Oratorio including George Frideric Handel's Messiah and Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass; Soloist with Toorak Uniting Church (TUC) choir; Soloist with Victoria State Opera Schools Company.
Catriona DeVere worked as a singing teacher (pre-tertiary) at Australian National University (ANS) from 2005 to 2007. She tutored singers who aim to gain entry to the ANU School of Music. Since 2009, she works as a singing teacher at Methodist Ladies' College in Kew, Melbourne. |
