The Russian lyric-coloratura soprano, Gilyana Dordzhieva (Orlova) (Russian: Дорджиева Гиляна). In 2006, she graduated from the Elista School of Arts named after P.O. Chonkushova (conducting and choral department, vocal class of B.K. Tyurbeeva); In 2011, she graduated from the Saratov State Conservatory (Department of Choral Conducting, vocal class of N.I. Dovgaleva). Since 2013 she recived private training in opera singing wit the teacher Timur Petrovich Bondarchuk. She is Laureate of international competitions: 1st degree laureate of the International competition "Offering to S.S. Prokofiev" (2016, Moscow); 1st degree laureate of the International Competition "World of Art" (2016, Moscow). In 2017, she took part in opera master-classes with teacher Sarah Allegretta (Teatro La Scala), vocal coaches Giovanni Farina (Rossini Opera Festival), Macri Simone (Teatro Lirico di Cagliari).
Since 2011, Gilyana Dordzhieva leading soloist of the Sveshnikov State Choir. During her time at the State Choir, she performed solo roles at leading venues in Russia, the UK, France, Japan, Poland, Israel, Georgia, and the Baltic countries, among which the State Kremlin Palace, Gaveau Hall in Paris and the Barbican Hall in London stand out.
Significant events in the soloist’s career of Gilyana Dordzhieva also included the soprano solo in W.A. Mozart’s Requiem (Kazan State Philharmonic, 2018; Moscow International House of Music, 2019), as well as the soprano solo in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana (Moscow, Orchestrion, 2018; Moscow, Plekhanov Hall, 2019; Elista, Kalmyk State Philharmonic, 2019). Since 2019 she takes part in the repertoire dramatic play War and Peace. Russian Pierre based on L.N. Tolstoy, directed by Yuri Grymov (Modern Theatre, Moscow, 2019-2021).
Noted with Gratitude from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation for hher contribution to the development of domestic art (2019), as well as Gratitude from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Kalmykia for his contribution to the preservation and development of domestic art (2019).
