The American conductor, educator, pianist, and soprano, Hannah Duff, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in with high distinction in Vocal Music Education from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester (2018-2022), and studied piano under Professor Vincent Lenti. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in choral conducting at the Eastman School of Music (since 2022), studying under Dr. William Weinert.
Hannah Duff directed the Church of the Ascension Youth Choir in Rochester (January 2019-October 2021), which provided quality choral and general music education to youth of Greater Rochester at no cost. Currently she is the music director and pianist at Summerville Presbyterian Church (since February 2021). She also teaches private piano lessons and is an active collaborative pianist with choirs and soloists.
Hannah Duff is an active member of American Choral Directors Association and National Association for Music Education and served as the president of Eastman’s ACDA chapter in 2021-2022. As a soprano, she performs regularly with area professional ensembles such as Voices, Pegasus Early Music, and Mysterium. She is currently the administrative manager for Voices, working with Dr. William Weinert.
Hannah Duff also specializes in innovative practices in mindfulness, meditation, and movement for musicians. As a certified yoga instructor who teaches for Yoga For All Musicians (since January 2021), she has offered workshops and published research on using movement and meditation as rehearsal, practice, and teaching tools. She is based in Rochester, New York . |
