Christopher Dunham (Baritone)

Born: Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

The Canadia baritonen, Christopher Dunham, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree with Honors in Voice Performance from University of Western Ontario (2010); and his Master of Music degree in Performance and Literature from University of Western Ontario (2012). He graduated from L’Atelier Lyrique de L’Opéra de Montréal (2014-2015) and Atlanta Opera’s Young Artist Residency (2017-2018). He is the winner of the Desmarais Development Bursary three years in a row (2017/2018/2019) and the Jeunesses Musicals Canada’s Young Mentorship position (2017).

Christopher Dunham is equally comfortable in concert, opera, recital, circus and burlesque. He has captivated audiences with his "vocally powerful and dramatic" as well as “robust and agile” baritone voice (Opera Canada), across North America and Europe. Some of his roles include: The Brother in Seven Deadly Sins (Atlanta Opera), Figaro in The Barber of Seville (Brott Opera, 2015), Mercutio in Charles Gounod's Roméo et Juliette (Jeunesses Musical Canada, 2015), Argante in George Frideric Handel's Rinaldo (Pacific Opera Victoria, 2018), Dandini in La Cenerentola (La Musica Lyrica, 2010), Schaunard in La Bohème (Opéra de Montréal, 2016) and Escamillo in Georges Bizet's Carmen (L'Opéra de Montréal, 2018).
