The French soprano, Judith Fa, began her musical education in Paris' Maitrise de Radio France (Director: Toni Ramon). Then, in 2007, she studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in Sasja Hunnego's class. There she could benefit from the advices of Margreet Honig, Ira Siff and Valerie Guillorit. She also attended the clases of Udo Reinemann for the Lied Jand eff Cohen for French melody. After receiving the Prize of lyrical singing in 2011, she joined the Dutch National Opera Academy - DNOA (Director: Alexander Oliver), which she graduated in August 2013. She received lessons from Peter Nilsson, Brian Masuda and Nathalie Doucet, as well as from Valentina Di Taranto and Marco Canepa for the Italian repertoire.
With this solid bachkground, Judith Fa has built a wide variety of repertoire: Baroque, opera, not to mention a very significant part of contemporary music. In June 2011, she sang Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande by Debussy in a staging of Timothy Nelson in Noordwijk Opera Festival. With DNOA she performed the role of Feu, Princesse and Rossignol in Maurice Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilèges at Orfeus Theater in Apeldoorn, De Singel in Antwerp, Vredenburgin Utrecht and De Doelen in Rotterdam, staged by Timothy Nelson, conducted by Antony Hermus. In June 2012, she sang the role of Serpetta in W.A. Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera at the of Regentes Theater in The Hague, staged by Xander Straat. In 2012-2013, she sang Serpina in La Serva Padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. She performed Parasha in Mavra by Igor Stravinsky at the Amsterdam Muziekgebouw with the Residentie Orkest Den Haag and the Asko Schoenberg Orchestra staged by by Javier Lopez Piñon. In August 2013 she sang Susanna and Barbarina in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro with the NJO Orchestra, conducted by Richard Egarr, staged by Floris Visser and Alexander Oliver, on tour in Holland. She joined the Académie de l’Opéra comique for 2013-2014 season. She performed there the role of Morgiane in Ali Baba by Charles Lecocq in May 2014, resumed in the Opéra de Rouen in June 2015.
Judith Fa's musical activities have led him to perform regularly as a soloist or ensemble member under the direction of Geoffroy Jourdain, Raphaël Pichon (Ensemble Pygmalion), Bruno Boterf, Sébastien Daucé, at n Bozar Bruxelles, in the operas of Bordeaux, Versailles, in Bremen, the Roque d 'Anthéron, Beaune or the Chaise-Dieu.
