The Czech mezzo-soprano, Marta Fadljevičová, Marta has played the piano since her childhood and sang in the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir when 12. She started to learn solo singing at music school. She studied analytic chemistry at SPŠCH Praha high school (1987-1991). She obtained Dipl.um.in Music Performance, General from Prague Conservatory (1991-1997), under the guidance of Antonia Denygrová. She devoted further study to singing under the tuition of Vlasta Hudecová, Professor of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
Since 1994 Marta Fadljevičová has been engaged in the authentic interpretation of early music (performance courses led by Marius van Altena, Howard Crook, etc.). She works with ensembles Musica Florea (Director: Marek Štryncl), Ensemble Inégal, Collegium 1704 (Director: Václav Luks) and Collegium Marianum, Hipocondria with whom she not only performed in concerts in Czech and European stages, but also recorded CD's and performed in Baroque operas. She is a member of Collegium Vocale 1704 since 2005, and since 2008 has performed with the medieval music with Tiburtina ensemble.
Marta Fadljevičová sings mostly Early music - Reneisssance, Baroque and Classicail music. She has participated on various concerts or music festivals as Pražské jaro, Concentus Moraviae, Svatováclavský hudební festival Ostrava, Lípa Musica, Letní slavnosti staré hudby, Uckermärkische Musikwochen, Festival de Sablé, Festival de la Chaise-Dieu, Festival de Sully et Loiret, Festival de Musique Ancienne de Ribeauvillé, Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge, Festival d'Ambronnay, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Gent.
Marta Fadljevičová also works in Vocal training at New York University since 2008. |
