The American tenor, Zachary James Fisher, attended the University of Maine where he completed Bachelor of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education (Class of 2019). A student of Francis John Vogt, he placed first in the 2020 Maine NATS competition and in 2018 was named the winner of the Barbara C. Littlefield Singing Competition by the Rossini Club in Portland, Maine. Most recently, he sang with the University of Maine Singers as well as Orono’s critically-acclaimed chamber choir Euphony. After two years as an elementary music teacher in West Brookfield, Massachusetts, he is preparing to begin graduate studies with tenor William Hite at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He was the 2018 Marville Young Artist Fellow. |
