Anne Greiling (Contralto)

Born: Pforzheim, Germany

The German contralto, Anne Greiling, studied at the Universities for Music in Frankfurt, Mannheim and others with Professor Katharina Dau as well as in the singing classes of Charles Spencer and Ulrich Eisenlohr.

Already during her studies, Anne Greiling had guest engagements at different German opera houses, among them the National Theatre Mannheim. Another important emphasis of her career is the concert and Lieder singing. Her concert journeys led her abroad to Europe and to Israel. In 1996 she received a promotion prize of the Association of the Opera Friends Bonn.

Anne Greiling is an ensemble member at the Opera Bonn, where she made her debut in January 1996 as Suzy in Puccini’s La Rondine. At this opera house she appeared with the conductors Jeffrey Tate and Gustav Kuhn. Among her other roles are Hänsel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, 3rd Dame in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Suzuki in Madame Butterfly and Chrubino W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro.
