The German baritone, Felix C. Groll, had been singing as a baritone since he was 11 and gave his first Lied and aria recital in September 2011 in the newly built Zehentstadl in Train. This was followed by numerous further appearances as a soloist and in various ensembles, two years of instruction with the Augsburg pianist Johann Peter Gampl and three years with the soprano Regina J. Kleinhenz. After two semesters in pre-college singing at the HfM Würzburg with Professor Christian Elsner, he began his Bachelor's studies at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg in autumn 2018. There he made his solo stage debut in the role of Pannecke in Linke's operetta Frau Luna. In March 2019 he sang Gluck's Orpheus in a semi-concert production of himself in his home country.
As a choir guest Felix C. Groll participated at the Theater Augsburg in Idomeneo and at the Landestheater Niederbayern in Der fliegende Holländer. He has been an extra at the Bayreuther Festspielen since the 2017 season. |
