Christoph Heidemann (Conductor, Violin)

Born: Germany

The German conductor, Christoph Heidemann, studied violin in Hannover with Werner Heutling and Oscar C. Yatco and ensemble conducting with Wolfram Wehnert.

Christoph Heidemann was first violin with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie before concentrating on Baroque violin playing technique. Master courses with Sigiswald Kuijken and Ingrid Seifert and his work with Lajos Rovátkay in the Capella Agosti no Steffani have aided his endeavours in achieving a tonally intensive and differentiated violin style. In addition to his work with the L’ARCO Baroque orchestra, he also plays as soloist and chamber musician with other well-known ensembles.
