The Danish soprano, Marianne Mailund Heuer, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in in classical singing and vocal education from Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium (The Royal Conservatory of Music) in Aalborg (then Daværende Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium), as a student of lecturer Annette Bo Nielsen (2003-2006, 2006-2009; 2009-2011). Since then she has studied further with Bodil Øland and pianist and singer coach Ulrich Stærk (2011), as well as concert soloist and J.S. Bach expert Kristian Sørensen in Leipzig (2010). She also attended master-classes with the soprano Barbara Bonney (2010), conductor and call canto expert Giancarlo Andretta (2010), Royal Opera singer Gitta-Maria Sjöberg (2011). Her awards incude: 2nd prize of 10,000 kr in Lions Club Aalborg's competition for students at the Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium 2008); Study scholarship from Gudrun and Erik Kauffeldt's Fund (2011); Ejnar Hansen - The prize is awarded to a highly talented graduate from Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium (2011); Rebild Musikpris, Rebild Music Prize, awarded to this year's young North Jutland talent (2011).
Marianne Heuer is active as a freelance soiprano singer since 2011. She is a regular member of the Danmarks Radio Koncertkoret (since 2011), and has participated in numerous CD recordings as well as radio and TV-broadcast concerts inside and outside the Danmarks Radio Koncerthuset. In addition, she is affiliated with the DR VokalEnsemblet (since 2011), Musica Ficta (Director: Bo Holten; assistant and ensemble member since May 2014) and Copenhagen Soloists (Director: Jonathan Ofir). She sang soprano at Vejgaard Kirke in Aalburg (2010-2012), and currently sings soprano at Islev Kirke in Rødovre (since May 2013).
In the opera field, Marianne Heuer sang in the choir in R. Wagner's Ragnarok at Den Ny Opera (2008); Soloist and ensemble in Erling D. Bärno's church opera Indtil døden skiller eder ad, Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium (2008); Countess of W.A. Mozart Le nozze di Figaro at Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium (2010); The main role of Dido in Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium (2011); Euterpe in C.W. Gluck chamber opera Il Parnaso Confuso, in collaboration with academy experts in Baroque practice practice.
As a concert soloist, Marianne Heuer performe Elverkongen's Daughter in concert performance by Niels Wilhelm Gade' Elverskud with Vendsyssel Symfoniorkester (2008); Soloist in F. Schubert's Messe in G-major with Vendsyssel Symfoniorkester (2009); Soloist in G. Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in joint project between the choirs Sangtus and the Vocalists in Aalborg, accompanied by harmonium and grand piano 2009); Soloist for Christmas concert with Prinsens Musikkorps, Skive (2011); Soloist with ensemble from Aalborg Symfoniorkester for a concert with Paul Potts (2011); Soloist for gala-new year concert with Struer Jernbaneorkester (2012); Soloist with Baroque Ensemble Consort Cantica at Vejgaard Kirke (2012); Soloist for Vienna Concert with Harmoniorkestret Tonica in Aarhus; Soloist for summer concert with Randers Bykor (2015); Soloist in Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria with members of of Aalborg Symfoniorkester and Budolfi Kirkes Kantori in Aalborg (2016).
Marianne Heuer is a regular soloist in both the Lieder and church concerts around the country. She received great reviews by critics for her participation in Nordjysk Sangselskab's concerts. She currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. |
