The German tenor, Falk Hoffmann, was from 1988 to 1997 a member of the Dresdner Kreuzchor and is the winner of the Rudolf-Mauersberger-Stipendiums. He studied from 1998 to 2003 singing at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden, followed by a 2-year post-graduate degree, which he graduated with honours, as well as a master student of Professor Margret Trappe-Wiel. In addition, he attended the graduate recital and concert class with Kammersänger Professor Olaf Bär and attended various master-classes, including with Kammersänger Professor Peter Schreier. In 2006, he was a finalist at the Lied competition La voce in Bad Kissingen.
An active concert career has taken Falk Hoffmann to various parts of Germany: he guested with the Dresdner Kreuzchor and the Dresdner Philharmonie in Düsseldorf, Munich and Hamburg. In 2004, he was seen as Damon in George Frideric Handel's Acis und Galatea at the Dresdner Musikfestspielen and sang under the baton of Peter Schreier in the opening concert of the Sächsischen Mozartfestes in 2005 in Chemnitz, Saxony. In addition, he performed at the Frauenkirche as Evangelist (Brockes Passion, HWV 48 by G.F. Handel and Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248) by J.S. Bach) under the direction of Ludwig Güttler. After a guest engagement at the Theater Zwickau-Plauen, he is engaged since August 2003 at the Landesbühnen Sachsen in Radebeul.

Falk Hoffmann has performed as a soloist in numerous concert programs. In addition, he sang in the 2009-2010 season at the Staatsoperette Dresden as a guest the part of Ersten Fremden in Künneke’s Vetter aus Dingsda. |
