The German soprano, Jasmin Maria Hörner, completed her singing studies with Professor Edith Wiens in Augsburg and with Professor Claudia Eder at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz. She has received important musical and artistic impulses in numerous master-classes with Thomas Hampson, Rudolf Piernay, Andreas Scholl, Ton Koopman and Klesie Kelly, among others.
Guest engagements have led Jasmin Maria Hörner to Landestheater Niederbayern and the Theaters of Augsburg, Bonn, Hildesheim, Mainz, Winterthur and Passau, singing parts including Angelo in George Frideric Handel’s La Resurrezione, Susanna in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Elisa in W.A. Mozart's Il re pastore, Le Feu and Le Rossignol in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, Mary in Schreker’s Der ferne Klang, Vespetta in Georg Philipp Telemann’s Pimpinone. In 2014, she created the parts of Fraticella in Elena Kats-Chernin’s George and, in 2011, Jeremias in Haas’ Bluthaus. In addition, she has appeared in numerous festival productions, such as the Schwetzinger SWR Festspielen, Festival der Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, Sommer Oper Bamberg, Weilburger Schlosskonzerten, Festival RheinVokal, International Spring Festival Heidelberger Frühling, International Summer Academy Salzburg, Mozartiade, Magdeburger Telemann-Festtagen and Händelfestspielen in Halle, to name but a few..
As a concert singer, Jasmin Maria Hörner has been active in Germany and abroad, appearing with renowned orchestras and ensembles such as Lautten Compagney Berlin, Barockorchester L'arpa festante, La Stagione Frankfurt and the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, working with renowned conductors such as Hermann Bäumer, Michael Hofstetter, Wolfgang Katschner, Rosch Mirkes, Ralf Otto, Hans-Christoph Rademann, and Masaaki Suzuki.
In 2015, Jasmin Maria Hörner performed de Literes’ Acis y Galatea at the opening of the Schwetzing Festival and in Frankfurt, followed by G.F. Handel’s Israel in Egypt, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s La serva padrona in Nürmberg, Carissimi’s Historia di Jephte and Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with Sommer Oper Bamberg. She sang J.S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244) on a tour with North Netherlandse Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Michael Hofstetter in March 2016. She sang with the JSB Ensemble under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann on a tour to Italy. |
