The Dutch soprano and music therapist, Liesbeth Houdijk, studied recorder (1981-1987, DM recorder, 8) and singing (1985-1991, Bachelor of Music degree and note Baroque singing, 7 1/2) at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague.
After a car accident, Liesbeth Houdijk came, after many wanderings, into contact with the Alexander technique. This technique has been physically there on top of her again after she resumed her profession as a singer. She was so inspired by this technique that she has followed the three-year daily training at Alexander Techniek Centrum Amsterdam (September 1996-July 1999). Since graduating, she gives her Alexander technique and singing practice at home. Since 2005, she teaches at Leiden BplusC both musicians and non musicians. In 2012 she got married. She currently lives in Santpoort-Noord. |
