The German contralto, Franziska Keimme, began her music education at the age of 6 with violin, piano and singing lessons. After obtaining her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal studies at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden (1990-1998) with Hartmut Zabel, she continued her education with Ingrid Neumann, Ute Niß and Karin Mitscherling.
Franziska Keimme works as a freelance Lied song and concert singer, among others, in Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin, Cologne, in Denmark and Switzerland; and with various orchestras and ensemble, including the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie, Lautten Compagney Berlin, Sinfonietta Berlin, Dresdner Barockorchester, Magdeburger Barockorchester, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and Thomanerchor Leipzig, Philharmonisches Orchester Plauen- Zwickau, Wolgograder Philharmoniker, Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, Virtuosi Saxoniae, Ensemble La Visione, Göttinger Barockorchester. She was also a member of the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann). She gives Lieder and concert recitals with works from the early Baroque to modern times, chamber music, soloist ensembles. |
