The Dutch tenor, Rein Kolpa, studied at the Conservatorium Amsterdam.
In the opera field Rein Kolpa sang in Der Prinz Von Homburg, Die Zauberflöte, La Finta Semplice, Ariadne Auf Naxos and Lohengrin with the Opera Studio of Cologne (Germany). In Daarnaast he sang in Die Nase and Fidelio. With De Nederlandse Opera he made his debut in Parsifal, following that in Life of an Idiot. He has also participated in opera productions of Le Nozze Di Figaro and Aufstieg Und Fall De Stadt Mahgonny with De Nederlandse Reisopera.
In the operetta field Rein Kolpa made a big tour in Holland of operetta concerts under the name Wien-Bleibt-Wien, and he also appeared with the Nederlandse Hoofstad Operette in Viktoria Und Ihr Husar and Eine Nacht In Venedig. In the musicals field he participated in productions of Speelde in 42nd Street, Sneeuwwitje, Jekyll and Hyde with the Koninklijk Ballet of Vlaanderen, My Fair Lady in Switzerland and Les Miserables in Belgium.
Rein Kolpa can be heard on several CD’s. He sang with Geraldina Trovato various works in the Amsterdamse Herengracht Concert. |
