Natalia Krone (Mezzo-soprano, Contralto)

Born: Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany

The German mezzo-soprano and contralto, Natalia Krone, grew up in a musical family crown in Chemnitz. She took piano lessons at the music school and learned to play the bassoon. Very early on, the music bevame her life. As a bassoonist, she was in the Universitätsorchester Collegium musicum der TU Chemnitz, where she performed except in orchestral works in various wind ensembles and chamber music works. Inspired by the work of her father, Peter Krone, the longtime second concert master at the Theater Chemnitz and later director of the Motettenchor und Collegium Musicum der TU Chemnitz, as well as by her operating pianist mother, Natalia devoted herself to singing studies, inter alia, with Kammersänger Professor Hermann Christian Polster and Kammersänger Professor Waldemar Wild. From 2000 to 2006 she studied singing with Professor Josef Protschka at the Musikhochschule Köln. Since 2007, she perfected her vocal training with Kammersänger Professor Siegfried Jerusalem. As a scholarship holder of various foundations, she refined her skills in master-classes with Kammersänger Professor Peter Schreier, Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender, Kammersängerin Gabriela Beňačková, Kammersänger Professor Siegfried Jerusalem and several times with Kammersängerin Gundula Janowitz. In July 2009 she was invited to actively participate in master-classes with Professor Gerd Uecker at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.

While still a student Natalia Krone has developed an active concert career, which soon expanded beyond Germany in Europe. It comprises mainly the solo participation in numerous concert and oratorio performances and recitals (orchestral Lieder, solo Lieder, duets, ensembles), inter alia in Paris, Strasbourg, Florence, Naples, Stockholm, Basel, Berlin and Dresden.

In spring 2005 she was invited to Japan, sang in the concert hall in Seto the solo alto part in a performance of Messiah at the opening of the Expo and was an evening of opera arias in Ena. Her previous artistic work was rounded off by participating as a soloist at music festivals such as the Rheinischen Musikfest, International Days of Music for Youth in Italy, Settimana di Musica Sacra dal Mondo/Chiesa di Santo Stefano in Florence and Lago di Garda Music Festival . In 2008 and 2009 enthusiastic audiences received applauded her in Stuttgart, Berlin and Coselpalais in Dresden in recitals with works by German Romantics, including with Lieder by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn, Johannes Brahms and Richard Strauss. In September 2008, she had a very successful church concert at the prestigious Eglise de la Madeleine in Paris, together with organist Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard, which was followed in spring 2009 by a guest appearance in Strasbourg.

In collaboration with the Motettenchor und Collegium Musicum der TU Chemnitz were created 4 CD's with Natalia Krone as a soloist in Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria, J.S. Bach's Cantata Aus der Tiefen BWV 131, W.A. Mozart's Credo Mass and Requiem and Lieder by F. Schubert, Robert Schumann, J. Brahms, and L . Boulanger.

More recently Natalia Krone e has been working increasingly with major operatic she has already huge audience also as an opera singer. Her vocal breadth is broad and ranges from lyrical to dramatic vocal category.
