The Finnish tenor and cellist, Heikki Kulo, earned his Master of Music dgree at the Sibelius Academy in 1997, where he completed his his cello playing and singing studies with honours. His vocal teachers were Anssi Hirvonen and Erkki Rajamäki. He continued his vocal studies in England and Austria, with the chamber-singer Kurt Equiluz, and attended several master-classes. He was a member of the Ring Ensemble of Finland.
Heikki Kulo made his concert singing debut in 2000 at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He has performed as oratorio soloist in Finland, Austria and Estonia, and has premiered and recorded new Finnish music. He also served several years in the radio chamber choir. He currently appears in various vocal ensembles and teaches both singing and cello at Keskisen Uudenmaan and Kerava music schools. |
