The French counter-tenor, Christophe Laporte, studied singing with Guy Fletcher. From 1995 to 1997 he was an intern at Studio Baroque de Versailles, where he perfected his sdinging, especially with Martin Gester, Howard Crook, Christophe Rousset, Sigiswald Kuijken, Antonio Florio and Jean-Claude Malgoire. This was follows, finally, by attending public or private master-classes, with particularly Paul Esswood (Karlsruhe, Chinon home), Gérard Lesne (Abbaye de Royaumont); Montserrat Figueras (San Cugat del Valle). In 1993 he won 3rd Prize at Concours International d’Opéra de Marseille.
Christophe Laporte has recorded with Les Arts Florissants, A Sei Voci, Akadêmia Ensemblea, Le Concert Spirituel, Le Concerto Vocale, Ensemble William Byrd, La Sinfonie du Marais or XVIII-21, Musique des Lumières, and has performed as a soloist at many concerts, in works such as the Stabat Mater and Nisi Dominus by Antonio Vivaldi, W.A. Mozart's Requiem, the St. John Passion (BWV 245) by J.S. Bach ... He has also been highly acclaimed in the latter work, under the baton of Ton Koopman, with Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and Chapelle Royale de Versailles (March 1998).
In April 1999, Christophe Laporte was heard in the production of La Monnaie in Brussels of Orfeo de Monteverdi, conducted by by René Jacobs, at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, production resumed in New York. Under the baton of thgis conductor, he appeared in as Feraspe in L’Argia by Cesti and sang the alto part in an anthology "Madrigali guerrieri ed amorosi de Monteverdi", still at the same theater. In 2000, he performed in Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria by Monteverdi, at the Festivals d’Aix-en-Provence and Beaune, under the baton of William Christie. This production, acclaimed since its inception, has been the subject of an international tour, Lausanne, Paris, New York, Vienna, Bordeaux, Caen, London and New Aix-en-Provence in 2002 (captured during the festival is available on DVD by Virgin label). He appeared in Giulio Cesar (Tolomeo) by George Frideric Handel Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, under the baton of Stephen Stubbs.
Open to the contemporary repertoire, Christophe Laporte created on stage Mille ans sont comme un jour dans le ciel (thousand years as one day in heaven) by D.Lièvre / H.Nyssen, at Opéra d’Avignon in 2000 and works with P. Gouttenoire, F. Lagneau and A. Petit, in concert, or even M. Pétrossian under the baton of Guy Reibel at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique (CNSM) de Paris in October 2001. He began a regular collaboration with composer Nicolas Frize (Nuits blanches / Paris 2004; Opéra des rues / Paris 2005; Maintenant / Marseille 2006).

Each entry received one or more awards (10 de Répertoire, Choc du Monde de la Musique, Diapason d’Or) in the French or international specialized press.
The DVD Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria has received tremendous critical acclaim worldwide and numerous awards, including the Prix Claude Rostand du Syndicat Professionnel of the Critique Dramatique et Musicale (2000) and the Royal Philharmonic Society Award 2002 London. in the opera category.
Christophe Laporte finds great pleasure with Philippe Foulon and Lachrimae Consort after a programme of "Elizabethan Songs" in 2005 (Concerts of "Après-Midi de Saint-Loup"). In 2006, his musical projects enabled him o perform J.S. Bach, S. Landi, contemporary workst, the duo recital, Benedetto Marcello, J. Desprez, the music of the Reformation, the Portuguese music of the 17th century .. . in France: la Chaise Dieu, Metz, Marseille, Clermont-Ferrand, Pontoise, Paris ... abroad: Seville, Bilbao, Evora, Regensburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Utrecht ... and saw the release of two CD's in which he participated::
