The Latvian soprano, Dārta Liepiņa, stiudied at Studied at NMV Rīgas Doma Kra Skola (Class of 2021). She has participated in master-classes with legendary soprano Emma Kirkby.
Dārta Liepiņa has established herself as a significant figure in the field of early music and choral performance, particularly within the Netherlands and the Baltic states. She is an active performer known for her work with several prestigious European vocal ensembles. Her professional affiliations include: Cappella Amsterdam (since May 2023; Director: Daniel Reuss), Música Temprana, Ars Musica (Director: Patrick van der Linden), Riga Cathedral Choir School Mixed Choir. She is highly regarded for her interpretations of J.S. Bach, frequently performing his cantatas and passions. She has performed at the Utrecht Early Music Festival. In late 2025, she was a featured soloist in a performance of Louis Andriessen’s magnum opus, De Materie, organized by the NTR ZaterdagMatinee. She has performed with iternational ensembles such as Hespèrion XXI (Director: Jordi Savall), the Coro della Radiotelevisione Svizzera Italiana, and the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra (Director: Aapo Häkkinen).
Dārta Liepiņa has contributed to several critically acclaimed recordings, notably: "Aeternum" (Hyperion Records): An album of choral works by Latvian composer Jēkabs Jančevskis, where she performs as a soprano soloist in tracks such as Aeternum and O lux beata Trinitas. She currently lives in The Hague, the Netherlands. |
