Jörn Lindemann (Tenor)

Born: Celle, Lower Saxony, Germany

The German tenor, Jörn Lindemann, graduated from high school in Celle, followed by a training program for piano manufacturers. Besides his work in Hannover and Göttingen, he began his singing studies with Professor Jörg Straube (Hanover) and became a member of the Norddeutscher Figuralchor. From 1993 to 1999 he studied singing with Professor Carol Richardson at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, Department of Opera.

Jörn Lindemann was a soloist on several occasions at the Göttinger Händelfestspielen, the Schleswig-Holstein-Musikfestival, the Braunschweiger Kammermusikpodium and the Musikfestspielen in Bad Hersfeld. He has worked with renowned ensembles such as Cantus Cölln, Concerto Palatino and the Balthasar-Neumann-Chor in concerts as well as radio and CD recordings. He appeared under conductors such as Reinhard Goebel, Nicholas McGegan, Konrad Junghänel and Professor Jörg Straube in a variety of concert and opera projects. In addition to regular concert engagements throughout Germany engagements led him also to other European countries and the USA. Since 1999 he has appeared as a guest at the Oldenburgischen Staatstheater, the Komischen Oper Berlin, the Theater Dortmund, the Staatstheater Braunschweig and at the Staatsoper Hanover. At the Oldenburgischen Staatstheater, he was also a permanent ensemble member. In the 2006-2007 season he was engaged with the role of Belfiore in W.A. Mozart's Gärtnerin aus Liebe at the Landestheater Eisenach. His repertoire ranges from Monteverdi to W.A. Mozart to modern works. The focus of his concert activity lies in oratorio and cantatas of the Baroque (J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel).

Besides his concert activities, Jörn Lindemann is a vocal trainer of the Landesjugendchores Niedersachsen and a singing teacher at the Braunschweiger Domsingschule.
