Mariona Llobera (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: April 16, 1981 - Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain

The Spanish mezzo-soprano, Mariona Llobera, studied at the l’Escola IPSI in Barcelona, ​​actively participating in the Cor Vivaldi, under the direction of Òscar Boada, until she finished school, also studying piano. She has sung in several choral groups: Cor Vivaldi, Cor de Cambra Vivaldi and Capella de Música de Santa Maria del Pi, la Xantria, and has participated in the interregional meetings of Ochsenhausen (Germany) as a soloist. She began her singing studies with Montserrat Pueyo and completed her Professional Degree at the Conservatori de Música de Sabadell with Elisenda Cabero (Class of 2023). She has just graduated from the master's degree in lied from the Fundació Victòria dels Àngels. She continued her studies with Margarida Lladó and Jordi Domènech at the Aula de Música Antiga in Girona and is currently perfecting her technique with Marta Mathéu.

Mariona Llobera has participated in musical-theatrical shows such as Cantúria Cantada by Carles Santos, Kantikipugui at the Palau de la Música, Els Jocs Florals de Canprosa at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. As a soloist she has participated in the Cererols' Magnificat, Camille Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noël, J.S. Bach's Magnificat in D major BWV 243, M.A. Charpentier's Te Deum, W.A. Mozart's Requiem, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Antonio Vivaldi's, Otto Nicolai's Mass, among others. She is currently also the Sibil·la de la Catedral de Barcelona.

Since 2004 Mariona Llobera has been part of the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana, (Director: Jordi Casas; currently Josep Vila i Casañas; and since 2008 of the Cor de Cambra Francesc Valls of the Cathedral de Barcelona (Director: David Malet; currently Pere Lluís Biosca). She combines her soloist roles with collaborations with Capella de Música Joan Brudieu (vocal quartet), Barcelona Ars Nova (Director: Mireia Barrera), La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Vox Harmonica, Capella Brudieu, among others. Next season she will be part of the Cor de l'Auditori de Barcelona.
