The American soprano, Carol Lundergan, holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance and a B.S. in Music Therapy from SUNY-New Paltz. She has studied voice with Claudia Cummings, Barbara Hardgrave and Jacqueline Horner.
Carol Lundergan is President and CEO of CompuDat Systems, Inc., a software company which designs software for labor unions in the USA. In her musical life, she has been a member of the Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus, the SUNY-New Paltz Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and College-Community Chorale, the Bach Festival Choirs, the NYC Riverside Choral Society, Ulster Choral Society, Christ Church Choir, and the UU Fellowship of Poughkeepsie Fellowship Singers. She performs regularly on the Hudson Valley Society for Music's Potluck Concert Series and has presented concerts at Mohonk Mountain House's Summer Music Festival for the past several years. As soloist she has performed in many of J.S. Bach's works including St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244), Magnificat (BWV 243), Mass in B minor (BWV 232), Wedding Cantata (BWV 202), Coffee Cantata (BWV 211), and Mein Herze schwimmt in Blut (BWV 199). She has also performed as soloist in Georg Frideric Handel's Dixit Dominus and Messiah, Mozart's Solemn Vespers, Haydn's St. Teresa Mass, Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, and Beethoven's Mass in C.
Carol Lundergan's stage credits include Gianetta in Gilbert & Sullivan Musical Theatre Company (GSMTC)'s production of The Gondoliers, as Mrs. Nordstrom in both GSMTC's and Rhinebeck Theatre's productions of A Little Night Music, and as the Baroness in GSMTC's production of Candide.
Carol Lundergan is a founding member of Kairos: A Consort of Singers, an ensemble of eighteen voices whose members are artists-in-residence at the Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, New York. She also serves as Secretary and Publicity Director for the ensemble, and is the creator and webmaster of the Kairos website. |
