Jafet Maldonado Vargas (Bass) |
Born: Choapas, Veracruz, Mexico |
The Mexican bass, Jafet Maldonado Vargas, began his studies at the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Veracruzana, under the tutelage of Maestro Víctor Manuel Filobello Aguilar, graduating in 2019; and in 2021 he concludes his postgraduate studies with Master's Degree in Artistic Production and Cultural Marketing at REALIA Instituto universitario para la Cultura y las Artes.
Jafet Maldonado has been a soloist with the Academia Barroca de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Xalapa in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion BWV 245 in 2016; also with the Orquesta Universitaria de Música Popular de Xalapa conducted by by Maestro Rubén Flores; with the Camerata Coral de la Facultad de Música de la Universidad Veracruzana, conducted by Maestro Noel Josafat García Melo.
Winner of the 2015 Nápoli Prize at the Festival de Música Urbana, being a singer and musical director of the group “Ópera urban-Veracruz” directed by Dr. Mauro de Rosa, in the City of Naples, Italy, representing Mexico-Veracruz. He is currently an active member of the Coro de la Universidad Veracruzana. |
