The German soprano, Konstanze Maxsein, studied piano and violin at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, singing at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf. She continued her singing training with D. Zywietz and Professor Barbara Schlick. She finished in 1999 with honour. In 1996 she was a prize-winner with the Robert Saar Robert-Saar-Wettbewerb in Bad Kissing and participated in master-classes with N. Shelter and Christoph Prégardien. In 1998 she was a prize-winner of the international Bachwettbewerbes Leipzig as "Bachpreisträgerin".
Konstanze Maxsein has participated at many festivals, such as MDR-Musiksommer, Bachfest Leipzig, and Rheingau Musikfestival. She has co-operated with Hermann Max, Sigiswald Kuijken among others, and had concert engagements in her homeland and abroad.
