The Italian soprano, Cristina Miatello, graduated in Singing with top marks from the Conservatorio Pollini in Padua in 1979. She then perfected her skills with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elly Ameling and Giorgio Favaretto for chamber music repertoire, and with Rebecca Stuart and Sergio Vartolo for Baroque singing.
Cristina Miatello began her concert career alternating it with that of assistant director to Antonio Taglioni, for prose and opera theater. As a singer, she has collaborated with the major interpreters of ancient repertoire, such as Sergio Vartolo, René Clemencic, Gabriel Garrido, Roberto Gini, Toni Florio, Enrico Gatti, Rinaldo Alessandrini and many others. She has collaborated for years with the ensembles Concerto Italiano, Concerto di Albalonga, Cappella della Pietà dei Turchini and Cappella di San Petronio.
Cristina Miatello has recorded several times for European radio and television broadcasters and has about thirty recordings to his credit that have won numerous awards from international record critics.
Cristina Miatello has taught Renaissance and Baroque singing at the Conservatories of Verona, Padua, Novara and Venice, as well as at summer specialization courses in Urbino, Daroca (Spain) and Neuburg an der Donau. |
