The German mezzo-soprano, Carolin Neukamm, studied at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with Professor Angela Nick in the areas of Lied/oratorio, opera singing and music education. In the summer of 2010 she graduated successfully with diplomas in all her courses..
From 2007 to 2010 Carolin Neukamm was a member of the Instituts für Musiktheater and participated in numerous opera productions in part under the direction of Professor Gerd Heinz and Professor Alexander Schulin, including L’enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel (2006), Die Zauberflöte (2008) or La fedeltà premiata by Joseph Haydn (2010). In addition she appeared in October 2009 as the Third Lady in Mozart Die Zauberflöte with Theater Dortmund in Seoul (Korea).
In 2006 Carolin Neukamm was a finalist in the National Competition Carolin for Singing in Berlin. In 2008 she won the 2nd Prize at the Hochschulwettbewerb in Freiburg. In addition, she won scholarships of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and the Richard Wagner Stipendienstiftung. She is currently ensemble member of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in München. At the Staatstheater Darmstadt, she sings Mercédès in Georges Bizet’s Carmen. |
