The Dutch soprano, Elisabeth Oets, studied at the Lorentz Lyceum (Class of 1975). She first studied violin and later singing with Udo Reinemann at the Utrechts Conservatorium (1976-1987) and attended master-classes at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Elisabeth Oets was for many years (August 1990-January 2013 associated with the choir of the Nederlandse Reisopera (Dutch Touring) Opera and performed there often smaller solo roles. She also worked freelance with the Nederlands Kamerkoor and the Groot Omroepkoor (Netherlands Radio Choir), with which she made numerous tours within and outside the country with conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Riccardo Chailly, Frans Brüggen and Ton Koopman. Her great passion is chamber music and art song (Lieder). On the radio she could be heard in two song recitals with French music. She performs regularly with various chamber music ensembles and as a soloist in a chamber opera Hand of Bridge by Samuel Barber. She currently lives in Enschede, the Netherlands. |
