The English tenor, Lawrence Olsworth-Peter, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology & Religious Studies from the University of Bristol (2004-2007); and his Master of Arts degree in StudyVocal Studies from the Royal Academy of Music in London (2008-2010).
Lawrence Olsworth-Peter is active as a self-employed tenor singer since July 2010. A 10 year professional career as a visiting artist with arts companies throughout Europe including: English National Opera (April-June 2019), Opera de Paris (since September 2019), Opera national du Rhin (February-May 2017), Festival d’Aix-en-provence, Klassik Festival Schloss Kirchstetten in Austria (July-August 2021) and tours across the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. He is also a member of Dei Gratia Baroque Ensemble.
Lawrence Olsworth-Peter was Artistic Director of Rameau Ensemble (October 2013-December Dec 2017). He founded the ensemble in 2013 to promote the works of Jean-Philippe Rameau in the run up to 2014; the 250th anniversary of his death. The Rameau Ensemble performed at prestigious venues such as St Georges' Hanover Square and New College Chapel, Oxford and live on BBC 3 In Tune. He also founded the Rameau Academy in 2014 as the educational arm of the charity, attracting students and international music professionals. The masterclasses and workshops were taught by experts in the field of French Baroque such as Christophe Rousset, Christian Curnyn, Robert Howarth and Catherine Mackintosh. He was Creative Lead of Diocese of London (December 2016-December 2021). He is Business Owner of Jaspers Attic Vintage since September 2018. Throughout his ortfolio career across a wide range of high-profile institutions, he has made it his priority to achieve excellence through innovation, communication and meticulous attention to detail. Developing and delivering a range of successful projects in the performing arts, business and the Church of England over a period of 10 years has allowed him to grow his skills in vision-casting, team leading and problem solving, which he believse have equipped him to now move into full-time managerial roles. |
