The Turkish soprano, Ayşe Şener Özmen, studied Voice and Opera at Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi State Conservatory (2007-2012). In 2012, she won won 1st prize at the 5th National Izmir Young Singers Competition. She also studied at CUBEC Accademia di Belcanto di Modena (since 2012) and at Aspen Music Festival and School. In 2015, while in Italy she sang the role of Zerlina in W.A. Mozart'z Don Giovanni at Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Modena, Teatro Municipale di Piacenza and Teatro del Giglio in Lucca. Since August 2017, she sings as a soloist at the İzmir Devlet Opera ve Balesi. She has performed there in La Traviata (October-November 2019, Conductor: Tulio Gagliardo; September 2022, Conductor: Vladimir Lungo); Donizetti's L'Elisir d'amore (November 2019, Conductor: Vladimir Lungo), and G. Puccini's La Boheme (2018, Conductor: İbrahim Yazici). |
