The Ukrainian soprano and mezzo-soprano, Olena Panasyuk, was trained at the Conservatory of Music in Lviv (Lvov konservatoria), where she studied singing and composition, graduating in 2005. From 1986 to 1998 she studied piano at the special music schoool in Netishin (Ukraine) (graduating in 1987) and music history and choral conducting at the Music Institute of Rivne (Ukraine).
Among Olena Panasyuk’s extensive professional experience include: Between 2001 and 2006 she participated in the Galitsky camernyi hor (Galicky Chamber Choir) as mezzo-soprano soloist. She participated in a tour of Italy, where she sang the Orthodox liturgy in the Vatican, at the Basilica of St. Peter, in the presence of Pope John Paul II. Between 2001 and 2004 she worked with Da Capo Music Gmbh company as mezzo-soprano premium category and participated in tours in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Italy and France. In 2002 she was the pianist Koncertmeiste Opera of Lviv (Ukraine). In 2008 she was vocal soloist in the CD of Symphony No. 7 by Angel Illarramendi, whose recording was performed with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Warsaw, conducted by Vojciech Rodek
In 2010 Olena Panasyuk was responsible for organizing the tour of Smolny Choir (St. Petersburg), which appeared at the Festivals of Porta Ferrada, Santander, Llivia and La Quincena Musical. In 2010 she was the soloist with the Camerata of St Nicholas, participating in recitals of Baroque music and arias in Zaragoza. In 2011 she was a singer and pianist in the Cabaret Cossack, with a repertoire based on Ukrainian folklore.
Olena Panasyuk now lives in Zaragoza, Spain and since 2011 she teaches singing at the Teatro de las Esquinas de Zaragoza. |
