The American soprano, Christina Nicotina Pickreign, obtained her her Bachelors in Music from the University at Albany and her Masters degree in Music Education with a Concentration in Voice from Westminster Choir College.
Christina Pickreign has appeared as a soloist with such groups as Hudson Valley Choral Society, Burnt Hills Oratorio Society, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Albany, where she serves as a section leader of St. Paul's Choir, Albany. She is the proud recipient of the Joel Dolven Vocal Award for Advanced Female Singer. She has also frequented many local musical theater stages.
Christina Pickreign has been a music teacher in the public school system for the last 20+ years. She has taught at Diocese of Albany Catholic Schools (May 2000-2007); Woodland Hill Montessori School (May 2007-2010); Woodland Hill Montessori School (since May 2007); Schenectady County Community College (since May 2024). She has been an Adjunct Voice Instructor at SUNY Schenectady for the last 15 years. She currently lives in Albany, New York. |
