The American soprano, Christina Price, studied piano at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music. While a high school student, she was guest piano soloist with the Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra. A voice student of Harold Bryson at Oberlin, she has since coached with Pauline Thesmacher, John D. Herr, Robert Page, and Margaret Harshaw. She is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and studied also at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
Christina Price is a member of Mu Phi Epsilon and NATS. Performances include the Choral Arts Society in Washington, D.C., the Louisville Bach Society, and the Robert Page Singers. She has performed in programs for The Cleveland Orchestra, in the Music from Stan Hywet Chamber Music Series in Akron, and as a soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra. She is very active in the performance of chamber music and has also presented numerous solo recitals featuring the music of Aaron Copland, Charles Ives, Darius Milhaud, and Klaus George Roy. She has been a member of The Plymouth Trio since 1993.
Christina Price is a member of the voice faculty at the Cleveland Music School Settlement, vocal coach for The Ohio Boychoir, and soloist at Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights. |
