The Spanish tenor, Juan Ramos, began his musical career at the Conservatorio Rafael Taboada in El Puerto de Santa Maria. From the age of 10 to 16, he sang in the choir of the Orfeón Portuense, before joining the adult choir, performing works such as W.A. Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, and Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria. He has also been a member of the Escuela Coral Jardín Menesteo. He has been pursuing professional singing studies since 2018, beginning at the Real Conservatorio Profesional Manuel de Falla with Esteban Rodríguez, and continuing in Seville with Rosa de Alba at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel Castillo.
Juan Ramos has performed numerous opera recitals with works by George Frideric Handel, J. Turina, Donizetti, and Bellini, in addition to a special issue dedicated to the contemporary composer John Cage. In May 2021, he was selected for the I Ópera Studio produced by the Teatro Real and the Teatro de la Maestranza, playing the role of Chamberlain, touring Spain with its directors Francisco Soriano and Guillermo Amaya. Recently, he was a member of the student body of the Accademia del Belcanto Rodolfo Celleti, participating in three different periods of classes and projects. It is worth mentioning his participation, within this program, in the Festival della Valle Ditria, with the title by J. Massenet's L'adorable Belboul, portraying the Whirling Dervish. He currently lives in El Puerto de Santa María, Spain. |
