The German-born Swiss, soprano studied psychology at Universität Heidelberg (Class of 2003). During her psychology studies with a focus on “clinical psychology” and “industrial and organizational psychology”, she therefore also completed several internships to gain an insight into the various practical areas of psychology: in the human resources department at BASF in the area of further education, especially leadership training (Ludwigshafen, Germany); in an orphanage (Cuernavaca, Mexico); in a psychological counseling center (Heidelberg, Germany); in a psychiatric clinic (Heidelberg, Germany); in a research project (Heidelberg, Germany).
But not only psychology is exciting and fascinating for Christiane Reis-Streussnig: already as a child she was fascinated by music, especially classical singing, which almost turned her away from studying psychology… In the end, she has both: psychology as a profession, and singing as a regenerating and stimulating hobby.
Christiane Reis-Streussnig has worked as psychologist/psychotherapiast Psychologischer Psychotherapeut at CERN in Geneva (2014-2020); at World Trade Organization - WTO (October 2019-June 2024); psychologist/psychotherapiast at her own practive Reis Psychotherapie in Grand-Saconnex, Geneva, Switzerland. |
