The choral conductor, Wolfgang Richter, attended the special classes for music in Zwickau from 1979 to 1983; 1985-1990 teaching studies for music and German at the PH Zwickau from 1985 to 1990; conducting studies at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt“ in Weimar from 1990 to 1993.
From 1988 to 1995 Wolfgang Richter directed the student choir Studiosi Cantantes at the PH Zwickau; from 1995 to 2001 he directed of the training choir at the Philosophischen Fakultät der TU Chemnitz. In 1995 he entered into the Gymnasialen Schuldienst. From 1996 to 1997 he directed the choir at the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Gymnasium; since 1997 he was choir director at the Johann Wolfgang v. Goethe-Gymnasium Chemnitz; since 1998 director of the Traditionschores Chemnitzer Abiturienten e.V.; since 1997 choir director at the Dr.-Wilhelm-André-Gymnasium Chemnitz (children choir and men quintet).
Activities of Wolfgang Richter as a singer included: member of the project choir Camerata Vocale Zwickau“ e.V. 1st tenor in the men-quintet "Die Junggesellen " (in the style of the Comedian Harmonists) repeated appearances with the tenor part in Carmina Burana by C. Orff.
Wolfgang Richter honorary activities include: since 1994 treasurers in the LV Sachsen/Sachsen-Anhalt/Thüringen in the federation of Deutscher Konzert-Chöre e.V.; Since 2001 he is chairman/president of the Musikbundes Chemnitz e.V. |
