The Dutch soprano, Margreet Rietveld, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in classical singing from the Artez Conservatorium in Zwolle in July 2011, where she studied under the tutelage of Lodewijk Meeuwsen en Riekje Bakker. After her education she studied with Harry van Berne, Heleen Koele and Frans Fiselier. As a soloist she engaged in master-classes by Barbara Hannigan, Meribeth Dayme and Barbara Schlick. At present, she is coached by Pieter van Breugel.
As a soloist, Margreet Rietveld can be heard in almost all great oratorios by composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, J.S. Bach (Matthew Passion BWV 244 and John Passion BWV 245, Christmas Oratorio BWV 248 and B-minor Mass BWV 232), George Frideric Handel (Messiah, Dixit Dominus), Haydn (The Creation, The Seasons), W.A. Mozart (Requiem, Mass in c), Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, Bruckner, Johannes Brahms (Requiem), and others.
Margreet Rietveld is a member of several professional and distinguished ensembles such as Ars Musica Kamerkoor (Director: Patrick van der Linden), Cappella Amsterdam (Director: Daniel Reuss) and Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe). She currently lives in Kootwijk, Gelderland, the Netherlands. |
