The Panamian soprano and poiano teacher, María Inés Rodríguez-Rey, studied transverse flute in the OSN Youth Plan; and obtained the title of Professional Piano Instrumentalist from the Instituto Nacional de Música. She studied Lyrical Singing at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Panamá with Carlos Tovar. She graduated from the Conservatorio Nacional "Carlos López Buchardo" of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a Diploma of National Piano Teacher in 1992 and later with the Title of Professor of Superior in Piano in 1995, both under the guidance of Ana Stampalia. She is Professor of Piano, Four-hand Piano and Chamber Music since 1996 and Coordinator of the Piano Department at the Instituto Nacional de Música. She is the Vice President of the Association of Pianists of Panama and the Deputy Director of the Polyphonic Choir of Panama. She currently lives in New York City and is a member of the Schiller Institute NYC Chorus |
