The German mezzo-soprano, Cornelia Sander, completed her singing studies at the Hochschule für Musik Köln with Professor Klesie Kelly, where she received her artistic matura with "distinction". This was followed by post-graduate studies with Professor Hans Sotin, which she completed with the concert exam. This was followed by master-classes with Kurt Widmer in Basel and Julia Hamari in Stuttgart; at the International Bachakademie Stuttgart, she worked with Anna Reynolds and Helmuth Rilling. Courses with the Lieder companions Cord Garben and Semjon Skigin complemented her chamber music studies. She received her acting lessons with Klaus Boltze in Bochum.
Since the 2005-2006 season, Cornelia Sander is a member of the IrmelinSlomanMusikTheaters, where she sang the mother in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel.

Bach's Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244) to Moscow, and with L.v. Beethoven's Missa Solemnis to the Czech Republic. |
