The English tenor (and former baritone), Nichoals Sears, trained at Trinity College Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Nichoals Sears worked for many years as an operatic and concert soloist - first as baritone and later as tenor - with organisations and individuals including Englah National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Scottish Opera, Liceu Barcelona, Antwerp, Lausanne, BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Aldeburgh Festival, Songmakers’ Almanac, René Jacobs, Paul McCreesh and Rinaldo Alessandrini. He was a member of the Cambridge Singers (Director: John Rutter).
Nichoals Sears was a Senior Lecturer in Vocal Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. He is curently a voice teacher at the Royal College of Music in London. He has also worked for Intermusica Artists’ Management Limited as an Artist Manager with particular responsibility for singers.
In addition to his performance, teaching and artist management experience, Nichoals Sears has worked for the Development Department of English Touring Opera and as an auditions and careers consultant for RNCM and Trinity Laban. |
