The American tenor, Emerson Sieverts, has ben a choral musician and performer of rock and pop in his childhood and teens. He was Choral Scholar at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Arlington, Virginia (September 2007-August 2011) and Evensong Tenor at St. Paul's Parish- K Street in Washington, DC (August 2010-August 2011). He sang there at evensongs and special services; performances included Benjamin Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, the Tenor solo in Herbert Howells' Collegium Regale, and Lessons and Carols. He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree Cum Laude with Highest Honors from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Viginia (2011-2015).
Emerson Sieverts is now based in Manhttan, and currently sings tenor with The Cathedral Choir of St. John The Divine (since August 2015), Musica Sacra, and Canticorum Virtuosi. His arrangements have been performed by The James Madison University Men’s Chorus, the H-B Woodlawn High School Men’s Chorus, and The Stairwells a cappella group and aforementioned Christopher Wren Singers at William & Mary. Since February 2018, he is Operations Manager at Company Clarion Music Society Inc. |
