The American soprano, Madelyn Stewart, graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Arts in Choral Music in May 2022. She served in many leadership positions during her undergraduate studies, notably as Student Director of the Centenary College Choir for two years, and as President and Assistant Conductor of Centenary’s Camerata. She was named Outstanding Graduate in Music in 2022, and was the recipient of the Ronald E. Dean Academic Achievement Award and the A.C. “Cheesy” Voran Award in 2021. Later, she studied Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership at University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtaining Major degree in Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership (Class of 2025).
Alongside her studies in music, Madelyn Stewart completed a minor in Communications with a concentration in Social Media and Professional Writing. She completed a two-year internship as the Hurley Marketing Intern, as well as an internship with King’s Collaborative as a Social Media Marketing and Strategy Intern. She also served as Editor and Social Media Manager for the Eta Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. Currently, she
Madelyn Stewart has been employed as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Hurley School of Music in Shreveport, Louisiana (May 2022-August 2024); Marketing & Communications Intern at San Diego Master Chorale (March-June 2024); Development and operations manager at LunART Festival in Madison, Wisconsin (since August 2024); Development and Grants Coordinator at Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra (since September 2025).
In her free time, Madelyn Stewart also enjoys to perform. Recently, she performed as Lucy in Menotti's The Telephone, as well as The Manager in the premiere workshop of the musical Yeltsin in Texas! She has participated as a soloist in many concert programs since she was a young teenager, and she plans to carry her passion for performing with her as she continues her work as a professional choral singer. She currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin. |
